In 2004, I took part in the competition of Goldi-Bären again. All competitors were again supposed to sew a bear by using a certain pattern of Jutta Hermann-Huppertz. This time all teddy bears had to be made out of the same mohair: a devil mohair. You can watch all fuzzy devils here! My little devil, who would rather be a little angel, learning to play the harp, did not win. But the competition was again very funny and thrilling. Thanks to Jutta Hermann-Huppertz of Goldi-Baeren, who organizes all that!
My little devil is approx. 19 cm (7.48") tall and has been made out of red, black tipped mohair. Because of the steel granules in his feet he weighs 153 g and is able to stand properly. I filled him with sheeps wool. He has got 5 cotter pin joints and two golden horns out of "Fimo". His face, hands and feet have been needle sculpted and shaded with black dye. His eyes are glass. I stitched his nose and claws and waxed them. Furthermore he carries a golden "Fimo" harp.
He has been auctioned at ebay in order to help the victims of the Tsunami in South Asia. Now he is very happy, because he found a new loving home and could collect some money for the people there at the same time. His new mum Jutta lives in the Lüneburger Heide in Germany. There he can watch every new born Goldi-Bear!
