Little Strawberry Muzzle
21st August 2005, 526 g, 31 cm (12.2"), 7 joints
May I introduce "Little strawberry muzzle"? He is another bear jam inspired me to make - strawbery jam. So his legs are designed to allow him to sit and lie comfortably on a slice of bread. Furthermore I stuffed his legs and belly not very firmly and added much mineral granules. Due to this filling his legs are quite flexible. His neck also allows many different positions, as I applied a wobble-head-joint. I didn't fasten the other joints very strongly in order to make him move smothly and easily. His fur is a great hand dyed (natural dyes) mohair with very long and soft pile. The red reminded me of strawberry jam and the off-white back of the fabric looks like the inner part of a strawberry, when you cut it in two halfs. But the colour of the pictures does not show the actual colour, I am afraid. In reality he is a bit darker. His feet (Trapunto), palms and face are sculpted, shaved and partly plucked. Of course he has got stitched and waxed claws and nose.
Now "Little strawberry muzzle" is searching for a new home. He would love to help you with making marmelade. But he also enjoys relaxed hours and being stroked. What he hates is stress - so when you are stressed out, he will always try to hug you and make you relax!
Finally "Little strawberry muzzle" found a new home! Now he lives with his new Mum Laila in Demouville, France.
