The teddybear, who is called "Steinpilzchen" (little edible boletus), is approx. 23 cm (9,1") tall. His origin is the 18th pattern I created. I was inspired by a walk in the forest this summer in order to mushroom. But I didn´t gather any mushroom. Perhaps this is the very reason why I wanted to create a mushroom-bear. I really tried hard to make the mohair appear like the surface of a mushroom and to find a form and colour which is similar to an edible boletus. Hence it is easy to understand that "Steinpilzchen" loves walks in the forest (particularly when mushrooms grow). Of course, he has to be looked after when you take him with you, as it is quite possible that he hides underneath a leave or next to another edible boletus. But he also needs to be stroked and loved very much. Now he´s also got a new family. He is very happy in his new home and I think, so are Claudia and Holger :). Furthermore he has many new friends there as Claudia sews lovely bruins herself! -> www.knuffelbaeren.com (Photos of his new home here.)
